Today, I'm truly filled with glee to be the featured reader at Mamazine. Oh happy day! If you don't already visit that wonderful place, please do. This is where I was introduced to Beth Ann Fennelly, even before Nick Hornby did in Believer. Speaking of believing (ooh what a horrible transition) - it was Amy who inflated my ego hugely some time ago by including one of my posts in Mama Likes, where I've since found many great and wonderful people to explore; and then when in response to my letter Sheri said she liked me too? I just about fell over.
Also, to mention another case of Marla-exposure, the article from Canadian Family magazine is now online.
Oh. What? You caught that? Yes, it's true. I am starting another blog. The Domestic Vernacular will feature the reveal of Josephine's room, and further adventures in decorating and finding old stuff. I'm imagining it as the product of an orgy that invited craft blogs, decorating blogs, advice blogs and thrifting blogs, and came out with a mutt that's homely, but loveable.
In fact, I would have posted more, including the reveal, but somebody forgot to charge her laptop before leaving for work. And no, she didn't bring the cord. And, she should really work today, not just fart around on the computer.
What? Why didn't she do it last night? Oh, she was PMSing, had two beers with dinner, took the dog for a long walk and hit the hay early. And today? Baked the best cookies ever this morning. And chewed up her finger in the beater, making it painful to type.
And yet, I typed all this.
I love you guys.
